Co-Pilot was formed in 2002, as a consultancy focused on marketing projects, overseen by Richard Poole.
Until 2008, Co-Pilot Marketing Partners was involved in offering ongoing digital & marketing strategy experience, assisting businesses with online, marketing & communications expertise, establishing clear development & promotional paths, to grow revenue and online communities.
Commercial Projects included work with brands including Mercedes-Benz, Giltrap North Shore, Enterprise Motor Group, Wild Appetite, Retail Holdings/Mission Bay The Promenade, Naked Organics, Republic Films, Sunshine Books International, Evolu skincare, Orams Marine & GrownUps.
Non-Profit Projects included work with Hospices of Auckland, North Shore Hospice, Eastern Bays Hospice, RSA, Marist School & Rotary Clubs of Auckland.
In 2006, Richard Poole partnered with Shane Bradley, to start GrownUps – an online lifestyle magazine, social club & brain training hub for the active 50+ market.
The site took off and as a result, Richard moved to full-time on GrownUps, until June 2018, having sold the business to Cigna Insurance in April 2016.
As NZ’s largest website specifically for the growing 50+ audience, it enjoys up to 200,000 monthly visitors and has around 150,000 members interacting with the 9000 mostly unique articles & content items, the broad array of features and the usual competitions and goodies, all of which aim to make life better for any visitor or member of the site.
As from July 2018, Co-Pilot has recommenced Consultancy Services, to assist other businesses & organisations to grow and succeed – utilising the knowledge of having ‘been there done that’, ensuring that any mistakes made and learned during the GrownUps journey, are ideally not repeated in order to help others achieve their potential sooner.
